Antidumping Duty Order Revoked

Brazil

Silicon Metal

A-351-806

The International Trade Administration (ITA) has published a notice in the Federal Register announcing that effective February 16, 2006, it is revoking the antidumping (AD) duty order on silicon metal from Brazil as the International Trade Commission (ITC) has determined in its five-year sunset review that revocation of this AD duty order would not be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to an industry in the U.S. within a reasonably foreseeable time.

AD Duty Order Revoked Effective February 16, 2006

The ITA states that it will notify U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to discontinue suspension of liquidation and collection of AD cash deposits on entries of the subject merchandise with a time of entry on or after February 16, 2006, the effective date of revocation of this AD duty order.

The ITA adds that it will complete any pending administrative reviews of this AD duty order and will conduct administrative reviews of subject merchandise entered prior to February 16, 2006 in response to appropriately filed requests for review.

(See ITA notice for more information, including the scope of the order, etc.
