Details of the Recently Enacted
Miscellaneous Trade Bill
On December 3, 2004, President Bush signed into law the conference version of H.R. 1047, the Miscellaneous Trade and Technical Corrections Act of 2004 (Public Law (P.L.) 108-429).
This is Part XVI, the final part of a multi-part series of summaries on the conference version of H.R. 1047 and provides highlights of new and extended duty suspensions and reductions, liquidations/reliquidations of specific entries, etc. See future issue of ITT for details of CBP’s memorandum summarizing the effective dates for the various provisions of P.L. 108-429.
