CBP Reminder on the

Manifest Quantity for Entries of

Liquid & Dry Bulk Shipments

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has issued an administrative message, which CBP sources state is intended to remind ABI filers about entry filings for bulk shipments by vessel.

Entries of Liquid/Dry Bulk Shipments Should Reflect “1” as Manifest Quantity in Most Cases

CBP states that Automated Manifest System (AMS) bulk carriers (i.e., liquid and dry) have been instructed by CBP to manifest their quantities to represent the lowest external unit, which in most cases will be (1).
